What we collect

Account information you give us: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and optionally a Discord handle for support. Billing information is collected and processed by Stripe - we never see or store full card numbers. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) are collected by our hosting providers for security and reliability.

Advertising and measurement

We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and ChatGPT, and we use their tools on vantixservers.com and panel.vantixservers.com to measure which ads lead to sign-ups and leases:

• Browser tags. The Meta Pixel, the Google Ads tag and the ChatGPT Ads pixel load on our pages. They set cookies and send the ad platform the pages you view and actions such as starting checkout, signing up or leasing a Mac, along with your IP address and browser details. These providers can connect this activity with what they know about you from other websites and apps, including to show you ads.
• Server-side events. When you sign up or lease a Mac, our servers may also report that event to Meta and to OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads). This can include your email address in hashed form, your IP address, your browser details, and the ad-click identifiers described below. We send it so the platforms can tell whether an ad led to a sign-up or purchase.
• Our attribution cookie. If you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, we store the campaign details and ad-click identifier (such as utm tags, fbclid, gclid or ChatGPT's oppref) in a first-party cookie called vx_attr for 30 days. We add them to your checkout so we can tell which campaign a lease came from.

Each platform's use of this data is governed by its own privacy policy. You can limit ad personalization in your Meta, Google and ChatGPT ad settings, block or clear cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker - our site keeps working without these tags. Cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session secure are always used.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information or rent it to anyone, and we don't give it to other companies for their own marketing beyond the ad measurement described above. We do not access the contents of your leased machine except with your permission for support, or where strictly required to protect the network.

Where your data lives

Account data is stored with our authentication and database provider (U.S. region). Payments run through Stripe. The website runs on our own servers in the U.S. Advertising data goes to Meta, Google and OpenAI as described above. Each provider processes only what it needs to deliver its part of the service.

Emails

We send transactional email (account, billing, machine status) and, if you join the drop list or waitlist, availability announcements. Every marketing-type email includes an unsubscribe option.

Your choices

You can request a copy or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing team@usevantix.com. Deleting your account ends your lease per the Terms of Service and removes your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
